ENCG Dakhla strengthens African academic ties during sixth graduation event

The École Nationale de Commerce et de Gestion Dakhla (ENCG Dakhla), part of Université Ibn Zohr, marked a major milestone on Saturday evening with the graduation of its sixth cohort for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The ceremony, held in Dakhla, celebrated 141 graduates across various management and business disciplines, reflecting the institution’s expanding role in training future professionals for both the public and private sectors. This year’s cohort also included several international students from African countries, underscoring the school’s growing continental reach.

The event coincided with the tenth anniversary of the establishment of ENCG Dakhla, a decade during which the institution has positioned itself as a key contributor to higher education development in the southern regions of Morocco, particularly within the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab area.

According to the school’s director, Aziz Sair, the institution has consistently worked to align its academic programs with regional development priorities. He emphasized that the school’s mission goes beyond instruction, focusing on building skilled graduates capable of supporting economic projects and contributing to institutional capacity across multiple sectors.

He noted that alumni of the institution are increasingly integrated into both private companies and public administrations, reflecting the relevance of the training provided and its alignment with labor market needs.

A notable highlight of this year’s ceremony was the graduation of the first cohort of international students from the institution. Eight graduates from countries including Senegal, the Central African Republic, Djibouti, Gabon, and the Comoros completed their studies, marking an important step in the school’s internationalization strategy.

This development was presented as an example of academic diplomacy, aimed at strengthening cooperation between African countries through education and knowledge exchange. It aligns with broader regional objectives of enhancing South-South collaboration and fostering shared development pathways across the continent.

As ENCG Dakhla enters its second decade, the institution is expected to continue expanding its academic offerings and reinforcing its role as a training hub for management talent in Morocco and beyond.
