Moroccan fighter El Mehdi El Jamari is poised to make his debut in the ONE Championship at ONE Fight Night 30: Kryklia vs Knowles, scheduled for April 5. El Jamari will compete against Thai fan-favorite Thongpoon PK Saenchai in a strawweight Muay Thai match at the renowned Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.

Joining El Jamari on the fight card is compatriot Mouhcine Chafi, who will face England’s George Jarvis in a lightweight bout. El Jamari, the younger sibling of ONE Championship athlete Zakaria El Jamari, comes to the ring with a strong track record, having secured several international accolades, including the WBC and K-1 Muay Thai championship belts.

At 27 years old, El Jamari has established himself in the Muay Thai arena, boasting seven national championships and two Arab championship titles. He enters this bout following his brother’s recent defeat at ONE 172: Takeru vs Rodtang, where Zakaria faced a tough challenge.

El Jamari's opponent, Thongpoon, is an experienced fighter seeking redemption after experiencing a unanimous-decision loss to Zakaria El Jamari in May 2024. Thongpoon recently broke a two-fight losing streak with a decisive second-round knockout victory over former world title contender Danial Williams.

ONE Fight Night 30 is set to feature two high-profile world title matches. The main event will see two-sport champion Roman Kryklia defend his ONE Heavyweight Muay Thai title against the seasoned Lyndon Knowles, while Regian Eersel will defend his ONE Lightweight Kickboxing championship against Alexis Nicolas in a much-anticipated trilogy fight.

The event kicks off at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, and will be broadcast live via beIN SPORTS.
