Decomposed body discovered in singer D4vd’s abandoned Tesla in Los Angeles

A decomposed body was found Monday inside a Tesla belonging to singer D4vd at a Los Angeles impound lot, prompting a death investigation by authorities.

Los Angeles police responded to the impound lot on North Mansfield Avenue after staff reported a strong odor emanating from the vehicle. Upon inspection, officers discovered human remains in a bag in the car's trunk.

Law enforcement sources revealed that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, making identification difficult. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the victim was a female wearing a tube top, black leggings, a yellow metal chain bracelet, and stud earrings. She had wavy black hair and weighed approximately 71 pounds. The office noted that the body had likely been in the vehicle for an extended period, but details such as age and ethnicity remain undetermined.

The Tesla had been impounded at Hollywood Tow for several days after being reported abandoned. Video footage from the scene showed police tape surrounding the car.

According to Los Angeles Police Capt. Robert Peters, the case remains classified as a death investigation as of Tuesday, and no foul play has been confirmed.

D4vd fully cooperating amid ongoing tour

D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is currently on his Withered World Tour. A spokesperson for the singer stated that he has been made aware of the incident and is "fully cooperating with the authorities" while continuing his tour.

The Tesla’s registration is tied to the singer, though there is no indication that D4vd was involved. Universal Music Group, representing D4vd via Interscope Records, declined to comment directly and referred inquiries to the artist’s attorney, who has yet to respond.

Separate death investigation underway

In an unrelated incident, another body was found in a car at a separate tow yard in South Los Angeles on Tuesday. That discovery occurred near Western and Gage avenues, roughly seven miles from the Hollywood lot. Police confirmed that this second case is part of a missing person investigation and stated there is no known connection between the two incidents.

Both cases remain under investigation.
