Daring car heist in Paris luxury parking: 21 high-end vehicles recovered

A major police investigation is underway in Paris after a highly organized theft targeted a luxury car concierge service in the 15th arrondissement, resulting in the disappearance of dozens of high-end vehicles.

The incident occurred during the night of May 16 to 17, when a coordinated group of suspects broke into a highly secured private parking facility. Authorities later confirmed that more than 50 individuals were involved in the operation, which was coordinated through encrypted messaging platforms.

In total, 27 luxury vehicles were stolen, including models from brands such as Porsche, Ferrari, and Maserati. Within days, 21 of them were recovered by police, some found damaged in traffic accidents or partially burned, while others were discovered in different locations across the Paris region and even in other French cities.

The estimated financial loss is close to €2 million, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office. Several suspects have been arrested, with multiple individuals already placed under formal investigation and some held in pre-trial detention.

Investigators revealed that the operation began with a small group of experienced intruders who forced entry into the facility before accessing a secure office containing vehicle keys and registration documents. From there, additional teams reportedly joined the coordinated theft operation.

Despite the site’s advanced security system—including surveillance cameras, biometric access controls, and reinforced doors—the criminals managed to exploit a vulnerability during the night.

The investigation, led by the anti-banditry unit, is ongoing as authorities work to identify all participants and determine how such a heavily secured facility could be breached so effectively.
