Dacia Maroc launches Jogger hybrid 155 powertrain upgrade in Morocco
Dacia introduces the Jogger Hybrid 155 in Morocco, expanding its family car lineup with a stronger and more efficient electrified engine. The model targets drivers seeking lower fuel use without losing seating capacity or everyday practicality.
The new powertrain combines a 1.8-litre petrol engine producing 109 horsepower with two electric motors, including a 50 horsepower unit and a starter-generator. It runs on a 1.4 kWh battery that recharges through braking and deceleration, removing the need for external charging. The system delivers a total output of 155 horsepower and 170 Nm of torque, while reducing emissions and fuel consumption by about 10 percent compared with the previous engine.
The vehicle can operate in electric mode for up to 80 percent of urban driving conditions. Each start takes place in electric mode, improving efficiency in city traffic. Despite the hybrid components, the model keeps its seven-seat layout and flexible interior configuration, maintaining its position as a practical family vehicle.
The Jogger Hybrid 155 is launched in Morocco at a starting price of 260,900 dirhams in the Extrême seven-seat version. The manufacturer also introduces financing options to support wider adoption of hybrid technology. The launch reflects a broader shift toward electrified vehicles while keeping affordability and functionality at the center of its strategy.
