Côte d’Ivoire: 24 killed and 36 injured in deadly bus crash on Bafing bridge
A serious road accident in western Côte d’Ivoire has left at least 24 people dead and 36 others injured after a passenger bus crashed on the Bafing bridge, authorities said. The tragedy has once again raised concerns over road safety and transport conditions in the country.
The accident occurred on Monday around 11:30 a.m. on the Touba-Biankouma route, involving a bus traveling between Odienné and Yamoussoukro. According to preliminary information released by the Ivorian Ministry of Transport, 69 people, including passengers and crew members, were on board the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The Ministry of Transport reported that the initial toll stood at 24 fatalities and 36 injured passengers. Rescue teams remained active after the crash to search for any missing victims and provide assistance to those affected.
