Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) face off today in the highly anticipated final of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup at the MetLife Stadium near New York. The match, kicking off at 8 p.m. Moroccan time (GMT+1), will determine the winner of one of the most coveted prizes in club football. Fans can watch the action live on the DAZN website and app.

PSG’s dominant journey to the final

PSG enter the final in scintillating form after a commanding 4–0 victory over Real Madrid in the semi-final. Guided by head coach Luis Enrique, the French champions have impressed throughout the tournament, securing wins over Bayern Munich and Inter Miami in the knockout stages. Despite a surprising group-stage loss to Botafogo, PSG topped their group, which also included Atlético Madrid and Seattle Sounders.

Key players like Ousmane Dembélé, who scored in the semi-final, are expected to start once again. However, defenders Lucas Hernández and Willian Pacho remain unavailable due to suspension.

Chelsea’s resurgence under the spotlight

Chelsea’s journey to the final has been less dominant but equally determined. The Blues overcame Fluminense 2–0 in the semi-final, with João Pedro scoring both goals. Earlier rounds saw them defeat Palmeiras and Benfica, while navigating group-stage wins over LAFC and ES Tunis. Their only slip-up was a group-stage loss to Flamengo.

Captain Reece James could return to the starting lineup after a substitute appearance in the semi-final, while Levi Colwill and Liam Delap are available again following suspensions. Midfielder Moisés Caicedo remains a doubt due to an ankle injury, but João Pedro is set to retain his spot in the attack, supported by Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku.

While Chelsea have shown resilience and growth throughout the tournament, PSG’s imperious form, particularly their flawless defensive record in the knockout rounds, makes them the favorites.
