Casablanca port’s new cruise terminal welcomes nearly 94,000 passengers in just months

Since its official inauguration on September 18, 2025, the new cruise terminal at the Port of Casablanca has recorded a strong start, welcoming nearly 94,000 passengers in just a few months, according to figures released by the National Ports Agency (ANP).

The terminal has received 53 cruise ships, highlighting growing interest from international cruise operators and signaling promising economic and tourism benefits for the city and its surrounding region. The ANP noted that these early results reflect Casablanca’s rising appeal as a cruise destination on global itineraries.

Operational management of the terminal was entrusted to Global Ports Holding (GPH) through its subsidiary Casablanca Cruise Port as of January 1, 2026. The partnership allows Casablanca to benefit from global expertise in cruise terminal operations and improved access to international cruise networks.

Designed as a modern gateway to Morocco, the terminal offers passengers facilities that meet international standards, ensuring smooth passenger flows, comfort, and high-quality services. The project forms part of Morocco’s broader strategy to modernize port infrastructure and expand maritime tourism.

With this momentum, Casablanca aims to establish itself as a key cruise hub on both the Atlantic and Mediterranean routes, enhancing Morocco’s international tourism profile.
