Cairo to host inaugural ‘Ai Everything MEA’ in 2026, showcasing AI innovations

Egypt is preparing to host the first-ever Ai Everything Middle East & Africa (MEA) event from February 10 to 12, 2026. The event will bring together global leaders in artificial intelligence (AI), tech companies, startups, and investors to foster collaboration and showcase cutting-edge AI technologies.

Egypt’s rising AI leadership

Organized by GITEX Global and hosted by Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the event highlights Egypt’s growing prominence in the AI landscape.

Currently, Egypt is the only African nation ranked among the global top 10 in AI and machine learning. The country is implementing a National AI Strategy (2025-2030) to integrate AI across key sectors such as healthcare, energy, education, and fintech.

Amr Talaat, Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, emphasized the transformative potential of AI. “AI is rapidly reshaping global competitiveness, and Egypt is determined to not only adapt but to lead this shift,” he said.

Summit and exhibition

The Ai Everything MEA event will feature a high-level summit and a two-day exhibition, attracting major global tech players such as IBM, Atos, HPE, and Cyshield. The summit will address AI applications in areas aligned with Egypt’s national strategy, including cybersecurity, semiconductor design, cloud infrastructure, manufacturing, digital health, and financial technology.

Additionally, the event will attract over 200 venture capitalists, collectively managing more than $1 trillion in assets, to explore investment opportunities in Egyptian and regional startups.

Nurturing youth innovation

A key highlight of the event is the launch of one of the region’s largest youth-tech academies. The initiative aims to provide mentorship and practical training to Egypt’s annual pool of over 750,000 university graduates, focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship in AI and digital technologies.

Trixie LohMirmand, EVP of Dubai World Trade Centre and global organizer of GITEX, stressed the transformative power of AI. “AI has leveled the digital playing field, creating new opportunities for countries to redefine their economic and social landscapes,” she said.

LohMirmand added that the event would reinforce Egypt’s strategic vision to harness AI for inclusive growth, policy innovation, and responsible adoption. “Ai Everything MEA will be a force multiplier to support Egypt’s mission to scale empowering outcomes,” she concluded.
