CAF Awards: Morocco U20 Atlas Lion cubs win "National Team of the Year"

The Morocco U20 Atlas Lion Cubs naturally claimed the National Team of the Year title at the 2025 CAF Awards, held on Wednesday, November 19, at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat.

After a phenomenal run in Chile, the U20 Atlas Lion Cubs earned this prestigious award, confirming their rise as a dominant force in African youth football.

The senior national team, the Atlas Lions, were also nominated in this category, thanks to their remarkable streak of 18 consecutive wins, the longest ever recorded by a national team worldwide.

The other finalist in this category was Cape Verde, who impressed during the qualifiers for the 2026 United World Cup.
