Binance expands into U.S. stocks and ETF trading amid financial convergence

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced the launch of trading services for U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), marking a major step in its expansion beyond digital assets into traditional financial markets.

The platform now allows users to access more than 7,000 U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs directly through its application. In addition to cryptocurrencies, investors can now diversify their portfolios using a single platform that combines both digital and traditional financial instruments.

Binance also introduced fractional share investing, enabling customers to purchase portions of stocks with as little as five dollars. This feature is designed to make financial markets more accessible to retail investors with limited capital.

The company further confirmed that it will offer extended trading hours, allowing users to trade U.S. stocks and ETFs on weekdays in a 24/5 format. This move reflects the growing demand for flexible access to financial markets outside traditional trading sessions.

The expansion comes amid increasing convergence between cryptocurrency platforms and conventional financial services. Competitors such as Coinbase Global Inc and Robinhood Markets Inc have also moved toward offering combined access to digital assets and stock markets.

Industry analysts note that this trend reflects a broader transformation in global finance, where investors increasingly expect unified platforms that integrate multiple asset classes.
