Moroccan kickboxing champion Badr Hari was arrested on Tuesday morning in Amsterdam by Dutch police. At 41 years old, the athlete is suspected of being involved in a case of threats and insults. His lawyer confirmed his arrest, while the exact circumstances of the events are still under investigation.

A police intervention in southern Amsterdam

Badr Hari's arrest took place on Tuesday morning in the Buitenveldert neighborhood of Amsterdam. According to several Dutch media outlets, law enforcement intervened around 9 a.m. on Van Leijenberghlaan street, following an incident involving a 41-year-old man.

His lawyer confirms it is indeed Badr Hari

Doubts about the identity of the arrested man were dispelled by his counsel. Sjem Polat, Badr Hari's lawyer, confirmed to Dutch media that his client was indeed the person arrested by the police.
