Aya Gold & Silver unveils promising gold discovery in Morocco

Aya Gold & Silver has announced the discovery of a potential new gold zone in Morocco, further advancing its exploration efforts in the country. The Canadian mining company revealed on Monday that the find was made at the Asirem site, located west of the Boumadine corridor. Aya described the area as a "promising new target" with significant potential.

Preliminary drilling results indicate that mineralization spans an eight-kilometer stretch, with samples yielding grades of up to 12.2 grams per ton of gold and 4.1% copper. The announcement also highlighted encouraging findings from ongoing drilling operations at the Boumadine and Tizi projects. Both sites exhibit continuous mineralization, prompting Aya to expand its exploration licenses to cover 339 square kilometers.

The company has already completed over 100,000 meters of drilling at Boumadine this year and anticipates releasing a preliminary economic assessment before the end of 2025. This study will evaluate the feasibility of advancing the project to development stages.

Aya's discoveries coincide with increasing global demand for gold and copper, positioning Morocco as a critical component of the firm's strategy. Aya Gold & Silver, the only pure-play silver mining company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), has seen its market value soar from CAD 948 million (MAD 7.2 billion) in 2021 to CAD 1.7 billion (MAD 12.9 billion) in 2025, reflecting a remarkable growth of nearly 79%.

The company’s latest developments highlight not only its commitment to expanding its portfolio but also Morocco's rising prominence in the international mining sector.
