Attijariwafa bank showcases AI-driven banking innovation at sixth Wenov Demo Day
Attijariwafa bank has reaffirmed its commitment to artificial intelligence as a key driver of banking transformation during the final stage of the sixth edition of its "Wenov Think & Make x IA Center" innovation programme, organised in partnership with consulting firm Onepoint.
The Demo Day marked the culmination of a year-long internal innovation initiative designed to encourage employees from across the banking group to develop practical AI-powered solutions capable of enhancing operational performance and customer services.
Launched under the leadership of Mohamed El Kettani, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Attijariwafa bank, the programme reflects the group's broader strategy of integrating innovation and artificial intelligence into its long-term growth model. The event was opened by Hassan El Bedraoui, Deputy Chief Executive Officer responsible for Transformation, Innovation, Technology and Operations.
Five AI solutions selected for operational deployment
The event highlighted five prototypes developed by multidisciplinary internal teams, addressing strategic priorities across the bank's activities. The selected projects focus on improving customer experience, enhancing employee experience, strengthening fraud prevention, reinforcing risk and compliance management, and increasing operational efficiency.
Chosen for their business value, technical feasibility and scalability, the projects were presented to the bank's Executive Management Committee (COMEX), with implementation expected to begin in the coming months.
Collaborative innovation model
Throughout the programme, the Wenov and IA Center teams worked closely with Onepoint, which provided support from the initial call for ideas through project development, business case preparation, return-on-investment analysis and final presentations.
Speaking during the event, Hassan El Bedraoui highlighted the central role of employees in the bank's transformation strategy, stressing that creativity, expertise and collaboration remain the institution's strongest competitive advantages.
El Mehdi Alaoui Mrani, Partner and Vice President of Onepoint Morocco, said the programme demonstrated the effectiveness of innovation driven from within the organisation, adding that collaborative methodologies combined with artificial intelligence can accelerate meaningful business transformation.
AI at the heart of future banking
The successful completion of the sixth edition reinforces Attijariwafa bank's ambition to harness collective intelligence and artificial intelligence to modernise its operations and enrich the banking experience for its 12 million customers.
By turning employee-generated ideas into deployable digital solutions, the bank continues to position AI as a strategic tool for improving efficiency, supporting decision-making and delivering more innovative financial services in an increasingly competitive banking landscape.
