At least 28 civilians have been killed in recent drone attacks in Sudan, targeting the regions of Darfour and Kordofan, according to local medical sources.
One of the strikes hit a market in the town of Saraf Omra in North Darfur, killing 22 people—including an infant—and injuring 17 others, a healthcare worker at a local clinic reported. Another attack occurred on the same day, setting fire to a truck traveling on a road in North Kordofan. Six bodies, including three charred victims, were admitted to Al-Rahad Hospital, along with at least ten injured individuals, according to hospital sources.
The attacks have been attributed to paramilitary members of the Rapid Support Forces, who are currently engaged in fighting against the Sudanese army. These incidents underscore the ongoing violence and humanitarian challenges facing civilians in conflict zones.
