Arab delegation condemns Israel’s ban on Ramallah visit

The Arab ministerial delegation, which had planned to visit Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, condemned Israel's decision to block their entry, calling it a breach of international law. According to a statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 31, this restriction violates Israel’s responsibilities as the occupying power.

The delegation, which includes ministers from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, and the UAE, was set to hold talks in Ramallah addressing Palestinian issues. The statement described Israel's move as an act of arrogance and disregard for international regulations. The group is expected to return to Amman later on the same day.

Following the ban, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud postponed his visit to the West Bank. Israeli officials also informed the Palestinian Authority that the delegation would be denied access for the scheduled meeting.

These events occur amid rising regional tensions and highlight ongoing challenges for Arab and international efforts to support the Palestinian cause.
