Amber Alert issued in southern France for four-year-old Maëlle

An Amber Alert was issued on Friday morning in the Var region of southern France following the abduction of a four-year-old girl named Maëlle. According to the Toulon public prosecutor Raphaël Balland, the child was allegedly taken by her father under “very worrying circumstances.”

The nationwide alert system, designed to quickly mobilize the public in cases of child abduction, was activated immediately after the girl’s disappearance was reported. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact local police or dial 17, the national emergency number in France.
