In a significant stride toward enhancing road safety and modernizing driving education in Morocco, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljalil, has revealed that more than 130,000 candidates have enrolled on the "Perminou" platform for driver training as of April 3rd. This innovative platform, created in partnership with industry professionals, boasts 4,416 private driving school accounts and has been utilized by nearly 82,000 candidates for training and taking practice tests.

Abdeljalil highlighted a notable correlation between the number of training hours completed on the platform and the success rate in the driving license examination. The minister disclosed that the pass rates varied depending on the number of training hours, with candidates who completed 10 to 15 hours achieving a 66% pass rate, those who trained for 15 to 25 hours achieving a 78% pass rate, and those who trained for 25 to 30 hours achieving an impressive 87% pass rate.

The creation of the "Perminou" platform is aimed at improving road safety indicators as part of the National Road Safety Strategy 2017-2026, Abdeljalil stated.

Furthermore, a joint commission has been established to ensure the quality of candidate training, and a detailed analysis of candidates' responses has been conducted to enhance the new driving license examination system, which was launched on March 25th.

The "Perminou" platform's rapid adoption and the positive correlation between training hours and exam success rates underscore the significance of leveraging technology and modern educational practices in preparing competent and responsible drivers for Morocco's roads.

As the platform continues to gain momentum, it is expected to play a pivotal role in promoting road safety awareness, standardizing driving education, and equipping candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the country's roads confidently and responsibly.
