Bahrain Affirms Unwavering Support for Morocco's Territorial Integrity at UN Assembly

In a significant diplomatic gesture, Bahrain has reiterated its steadfast support for Morocco’s sovereignty and territorial integrity during a recent session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. This affirmation was articulated by Bahrain's representative before the Fourth Committee, which is responsible for decolonization and related issues.

The Bahraini diplomat emphasized the kingdom's commitment to backing Morocco in its efforts to maintain national security and territorial unity. “The Kingdom of Bahrain stands firmly with the Kingdom of Morocco in safeguarding its security and the integrity of its territories,” she stated, underscoring the enduring solidarity between the two nations.

Moreover, Bahrain expressed its continued support for Morocco's initiatives aimed at achieving a political resolution to the Sahara conflict. This support is firmly rooted in the Moroccan autonomy plan, which seeks to address the issue within the framework of Morocco's sovereignty and national unity. The diplomat highlighted that Bahrain appreciates the commendable efforts made by Morocco to find a viable political solution based on this initiative.

In addition, Bahrain praised the endeavors of the United Nations Secretary-General aimed at facilitating a realistic and sustainable political solution, emphasizing that such efforts should respect Morocco’s national sovereignty.

This reaffirmation of support from Bahrain not only strengthens bilateral ties but also reflects a broader regional consensus on the importance of territorial integrity and political stability in North Africa.
