Morocco and Pakistan deepen military cooperation through joint special forces training
Moroccan and Pakistani armed forces launched the third edition of their joint military exercise on Monday, April 14, at the School of Special Operations in Cherat, located in northwestern Pakistan. The training is centered on unconventional warfare tactics and counterterrorism operations, according to a statement from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media arm of the Pakistani Armed Forces.
The opening ceremony was presided over by the commander of the host institution. Participating units include Pakistan’s Special Services Group (SSG) and the Special Forces of Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces (FAR), both renowned for their expertise in asymmetric warfare environments.
This joint exercise reflects a longstanding military partnership between the two nations. It provides an important opportunity for both sides to refine their techniques, share operational strategies, and strengthen interoperability. More than just a tactical endeavor, the initiative symbolizes a shared strategic vision built on mutual trust and respect.
